Designation of donor status on New Jersey
driver’s
license and identification cards
The seven million drivers in New Jersey are provided an opportunity to designate their desire to become an organ and tissue donor on their driver’s license. Numerous programs are underway to further educate this audience to say “yes” to donation. For more information about our efforts and how you can get involved, contact Tara Artesi, Assistant Director of Programs and Development, at (973) 924-2026 or tartesi@sharenj.org.

LESSONS FOR LIFE
NJ high schools needed for innovative pilot program
Sharing Network Foundation is looking for high schools to participate in “Lessons for Life,” an educational program to teach high school students about the importance and benefits of organ and tissue donation and transplantation.
“Lessons for Life” will serve as New Jersey 's first continuing youth education program. The program will give high school students throughout the state the knowledge and skills needed to make an informed decision about donation, and to share that information with family and friends...inspiring them to act, and making palpable change.
The program will incorporate the use of volunteers and will develop specialized program components for schools with community service/service learning programs, technology-based learning, and/or significant minority populations.
“Lessons for Life” will begin January 1, 2009. The program will be pilot-tested in six high schools during the first year. If you would like to learn more about “Lessons for Life” for your school, please contact Tara Artesi, Assistant Director of Programs and Development, at (973) 924-2026 or tartesi@sharenj.org .
All funding for “Lessons for Life” will be provided through philanthropic giving - grants, corporate sponsorships, and individual donations. Sharing Network Foundation is relying on our business partners, community, and you, to make this program a reality. Please contact Tara Artesi , Assistant Director of Programs and Development, at (973) 924-2026 or tartesi@sharenj.org, to learn more about how you and/or your organization can make a financial contribution.
