NJ Sharing Network works to support all our affiliated critical care partners in our joint requirement to uphold the Medicare Conditions of Participation (CMS rule (CMS-3064-P) regarding Medicare and Medicaid Programs: Conditions for Coverage for Organ Procurement Organizations (OPOs).  These regulations play an important role in supporting our work to maximize organ donation and transplantation. They contain many positive aspects.  Chief among them is the objective to help advance joint accountability for organ donation between OPOs and hospitals.  This has been critical for increasing donation rates in NJ and across the country.
