Workplace partner LifeCELL kicks off
yearlong effort to educate employees
about donation and transplantation
LifeCELL has partnered with NJ Sharing Network for a yearlong Community Stewardship Program to educate its employees about organ and tissue donation. Following a late summer program kick-off event, LifeCELL held a registration day and provided two lunch-and-learn trainings. Most recently, senior management agreed to reimburse all employees who wish to purchase a “Donate Life” license plate. NJ Sharing Network is excited to continue our yearlong efforts to promote donation among LifeCELL employees and we thank them for their commitment and longstanding support.
LifeCELL has become a leader in the emerging field of regenerative medicine providing innovative, biologically-based products for the repair and replacement of human tissue. LifeCELL is one of the organizations responsible to process and distribute the various forms of donated tissue recovered by NJ Sharing Network

Jessica Melore, NJ Workplace Partnership for Life Campaign
Manager, and Pat Marago, LifeCELL Tissue Services Manager.
At the Community Stewardship Program Kick-off, Pat introduced
Jessica who gave a brief presentation to the LifeCELL employees.
This introduction was especially meaningful because Pat was one
of the emergency medical technicians (EMTs) who responded to the
call five years ago when Jessica had the massive heart attack
leading to her eventual heart transplant.

Longtime NJ Sharing Network Volunteer, Joseph Tag staffs an
information table during a registration event at LifeCELL.

Community Relations Manager Tara Artesi explains how the donation
and transplantation system work in the United States during one
of
the
lunch-and-learn programs at LifeCELL.
