The NJ Sharing Network’s “Quilts of Love” began in 1997
and is an ongoing project that honors the memory
of our donors.
NJ Sharing Network now has 20 beautiful quilts. Each was made with love and serve as gentle reminder of the many lives touched by donation and transplantation.

Every square has its own unique story. One woman, who made a quilt square in honor of her husband, wrote “it was a difficult thing for me to do, but now that it is completed it gives me great joy and tremendous comfort….Another square includes a picture of a father with his young daughter and child’s handwriting, “World’s Best Dad”. Some squares include photos, others have symbols of favorite hobbies, careers, heritage and faith.
Our quilts have been admired by thousands of people who have seen them at schools, hospitals, museums, libraries and places of worship throughout New Jersey. They continue to be a beautiful tribute to our donors, and also serve as a wonderful tool to reach the public on the importance of organ and tissue donation.
