…SEAN PATRICK CLEGG
THE LEGEND CONTINUES…

We all have our own great many fond recollections of wonderful times with Sean, and how could there be any other than fond memories. He didn't produce anything but them… as was so eloquently put by a card I read here “Sean, I don't remember for one minute, a minute where I didn't love you.”

The events of the past week being in the presence of so many wonderful people as the events unfolded since the tragic accident occurred, has led me through faith, to pass on to you what I believe is not an end; but the beginning to what Sean had been prepared for. We never knew a quote from Sean's My Space Page says it all. “We all die. The goal is to create something that will live forever.” He truly has inspired Andy and Gail to so unselfishly donate that of which he no longer needed but that others did need. The gift of renewed life, he has instantly touch and made immensely happy thousand of lives.

This mass is a celebration of life and not just physical life, but also of the life; the one that is to follow all of us one day. Keeping in mind the quote on Sean's My Space Page, I'm now going to relay to you a story of what happened to Sean immediately after he left our earthly world.

In that instant when death swooped in and claimed Sean, what appeared to us as tragic was anything but tragic. For at that moment Sean awoke and beheld a bright shining light at the end of the path below his feet. He was drawn by a very powerful force to check this out and see what the source of this light was. He was not afraid of what this journey down this path might bring. For he just knew that it was going to be good.

As he traveled this path he noticed off to the side and slightly below his path some children crying. He stopped and knelt down and asked why they were crying and they said to him that they too would like to travel on this path to light but that their time had not yet come. For you see there was little Tommy who needed a heart to continue on till his time had come, Mary who needed some lungs to breathe the life giving air and Mark who was in need of the gift of sight; and many, many more children who were in need.

Sean reached down and one by one lifted his new found friends on to his path. He said to them “come with me I think I can help”. They traveled on for a short while as the path Sean was on was not a long one. Sean knew he was near to finding the source of this amazing clear and bright light as its intensity was overwhelming. He heard a voice call out “is that you Sean? Yes it is me.” Sean, why have you brought so many others with you? It is not their time to travel the path. “I know it is not their time but they seemed to be suffering so I would like to help them with your permission. Lord you have given me so many wonderful things that are working so well that I now need no more. You see Tommy here needs a strong heart, for his is too weak to enjoy all the wonderful activities that you allowed me to enjoy; and Mary needs to be able to breathe all that wonderful seashore air and Mark would like to see all the wonders that you have created in nature, and he explained to God one by one the reason why he had brought them all with him. God looked at Sean and said “Sean, you truly understand what it is to care for the least of your brothers and to share the gifts that I have given to you. So be it, their pain and suffering is gone”. And with that they were gone. Sean looked down off the path and saw that they were having a ball laughing and playing and he grinned that great big smile he wore.

As he turned to God, God held in his hands the most beautiful guitar that Sean had ever seen. God said “this is for you Sean, for your selfless act of helping others so that they may find peace. As he handed the guitar to Sean he said “Sean this is a special guitar, for all you have to do is play a few of your favorite chords and I will grant you that wish your soul most desires. Sean without hesitation began to play the chords that he had been practicing since the day he first picked up a guitar. The sound was like that which he had never heard. So clean. So beautiful. He began to softly sing “I want to come home…I want to come home… I want to come home.” And with that God reached out and embraced him in an enormous hug that which only an angel can feel and softly whispered in that heavenly whisper that was heard throughout the heavens.

Welcome home son…
