Your NJ Driver’s License or ID card could help save a life. NJ Sharing Network is now partnering with the Motor Vehicle Commission to provide us immediate 24/7 ability to access driver’s records to determine if an individual has said “yes” to organ donation on their driver’s license or state ID. To date, 1.47 million have registered their donation wishes and the number continues to climb. NJ Sharing Network’s goal is to enlist a total of 2.1 million donors though the Motor Vehicle Commission by 2008.  This new process provides an effective means of capturing donor designations.

When you first apply for and each time you renew your license, you will be asked if you’d like the “Organ Donor” designation to appear on your license or ID Card. The designation will appear on the front of your license and will be included in your computer record with the Motor Vehicle Commission. For more information or to pre-register click on the license below to visit www.donatelifenj.org.
